Tweaks to turf wars.
Forums › Suggestions & Feedback › Tweaks to turf wars.-
Well with the way GS is going and with alot of worrying about turf wars itself, maybe it's time to tweak TW and correct some of the short comings. The one that blares at me is the defense and attack points. Figure out something that doesn't break the game. Now with armor piercing and lookouts you played with the % idea of increases. So my suggestion is have attack and defense points count like that. If 1 attack or defense point accounted for .1 % increase to that respected attribute. Max of 250 attack points would give a 25 % increase to each attribute. If that's too much lower it. This would give those points meaning. People would buy more skill points. More money comes in. People are happy with another aspect if the game to take into effect. Different strategys to take into consideration. Also people who have out points in those categories would be happy because now they mean something. Just throwing it out there
-
Yes I like that idea of .1% so it only maxes at +25%
-
Got to make it so its not broken.
-
I personally would spend more money on the game if the attack and defense points worked just the way Greedo suggested. Excellent idea Greedo! 😃💡
-
That's a great idea. It's a win for both sides. Players get to use the att. and def. and the games earns money with the people that want to Mac it all out.
-
I agree. Would make the game better as well as bringing income in from it to the developers. Win Win in my eyes :-)
-
So all the f***ing points I spent on attack and Defense would ACTUALLY mean something? Genius!!!👏👏👏👏
-
Lol nice toot. Ha ha ha
-
Should this bonus be in effect while engaged in a vendetta or not?
-
The strong become disproportionately stronger, the weak change little to not enough because it's percentage based.

That is what codes are for correct? I like this idea because with a 25% increase max could actually be useful instead of 250 points. The strong become disproportionately stronger, the weak change little to not enough because it's percentage based.

The problem is this:
100,000 mob becomes 125,000 mob. 10,000 mob becomes 12,500 mob. 1,000 mob becomes 1,250 mob. It's disproportionately more expensive for those getting the least benefit. Meanwhile you create a new "bren gun" situation, give vast new gains in power, cheaper than anyone smaller mobbed can get.Basically, your v targets gained 20% strength on you, even though you both spent the same amount.
-
Just give back the points spent on att/def and remove the freakin thing

I originally liked this idea, but Roger That made great points. It'd be another game changer for those with the most money, like hench and brens. Captain satan proposed a better suggestion in my opinion

There have been so many threads about att & def over the years, including this same suggestion.
You guys should do a Google search & read some of them - the really old ones are actually pretty funny.

Like he said also gives even more advantage to ppl who spend lots of $$$ even with the website discount it will cost 267$The strong become disproportionately stronger, the weak change little to not enough because it's percentage based.

Yep. Kudos for them being able to buy more but why make the gap even worse...The strong become disproportionately stronger, the weak change little to not enough because it's percentage based.

Maybe a 250 total between the two? You pick how much you put in both attack and defense.
-
125/125
200/50
It would bring strategy into it. Maybe a don point reset of those point every 2 weeks. -
Something shoukd be done with att/def points. Either .1% , .05%, 10 points per attribute point, if you don't want to spend yea you don't receive the benefits but in most games developers make games to make money. If Turf Wars makes money then it may live a little longer. It's ridiculous to have att/def attributes that mean or do nothing. Like I suggested even at .05 % per attribute score, maxing out would give you a 12.5% boost.
It's something and the fact that noone sees those attributes means a guessing game. Can I beat him? Do they have points in def? Hmmm better send a hooded bac in there to scope it out.
Trying to save the game that I enjoy playing -

Or limit the amount of att an def point upgrades per level the higher level u get the more def an ATT you can up gradeThe problem is this:

Yup do this and be done with it. Then raise health, energy and stam to 300 for those that are maxed.Just give back the points spent on att/def and remove the freakin thing

I like Greedos idea, I'd just like to tweak it a bit. What if the attack and defence % he suggested only worked when targeted by a vendetta and only against the people in the vendetta. Would make vendettas more interesting again.

I like Greedo's idea, and agree with Roger That's points. Do the percentage idea like Greedo sad, but to make it less likely to benefit larger folk, offer more att and def per skill point when mobster is small. Like 10 per sp until mc is 5k, 5 per sp upto 10k, 1 per sp up to 20k, then 1 per 10 sp if mc > 20k.
A programmers nightmare... Lol
-
Or perhaps, make the cost of att and def the same for all... Then fade out the % benefit as mc grows. 0.4% (100%max boost) for mc < 5k, 0.2% (50%) for mc < 10k, 0.1% (26%) for mc < 20k, and no benefit beyond the points themselves when mc is over 20k.

The way I read it is that the % grows with you. So the more you punch the more you benefit. I like this idea. Otherwise just get rid of Att and Def points - no point. 100000 or 125000 is always going to smash 10000 or 12500. It would just add more strategy to the points system. The problem is this:
100,000 mob becomes 125,000 mob. 10,000 mob becomes 12,500 mob. 1,000 mob becomes 1,250 mob. It's disproportionately more expensive for those getting the least benefit. Dammit yes. Do something about one of the original flaws in the game
