Airports are not going away. In fact, it's only going to get worse.

In the current state of the game, a player simply needs to simply hop into the yellow zone and...wammo! They can instantly use a plane ticket to any of the connecting airports free of charge except for the fee to plant turf at the desired location.

So...why not have players buy their ticket (while maintaining the 1 ticket per 2 weeks formula). We buy weapons, armor, hell...we even have a fee for using the bank.

I don't have a formula in mind but with the state of the economy and rising fuel cost, I think a fee of 3 or 4 times the cost of planting turf on location would be fare. But hey, what do I know?

Maybe look at hopping as "driving" and then consider the real world expense of flying.

The further you fly, the more expensive.

With that considered, the price of the ticket would vary upon distances.

Not if it is based on a percentage of money a player currently has and/or their influence.
Check out how much cash I have. I would maybe think twice if I knew that the ticket was going to cost an outrageous amount.

Hmm. So for me to fly from Houston to Dallas, I would pay $2.5 Billion for a ticket? Seems fair. 😜

Except for the fee? There's the fee to plant to fly & the fee to plant when you land. Airports tend to be densely packed places & the cost to plant is extremely high. Then you typically want to hop out of the airport, which means more expensive planting.

I'd only consider supporting this if the cost to plant turf everywhere was reduced first. Either that or it's time for a "cost of living" increase in income.

I think it's time for a cost of living increase in turf limit. I just looked at my unadjusted turf limit for level 100. 35 turf. Wtf? What can you do with 35 turf?

Indeed the basic turf limit should be increased to at least 100 turf............

I think plane tickets should be reduced to every four weeks.

I think it's time for a cost of living increase in turf limit. I just looked at my unadjusted turf limit for level 100. 35 turf. Wtf? What can you do with 35 turf?
I have no objections to that. I still think we need a cost of living increase for income as well. I say that because planting cost is based on inf (as well as player density). So additional turf would raise income, but would also raise inf, meaning a corresponding raise in planting cost.
