I've been watching this for a few weeks now and about 1/3 of the threads in gd are about someone hitting a milestone.

This is clearly a topic people are interested in, why not give them a dedicated place to frolic and be proud?

You're probably right, but does anyone really want to know that someone hit 20,000? Some people clearly do, others say congrats because it's the nice thing to do.
Right now all it really does is clutter up gd.

Maybe if you hit a milestone you'd get a congrats thread too. But no, I disagree with this idea. Congrats threads are motivating and there's nothing wrong with encouraging people's punching. They come in waves sometimes and then it'll die down again. Not worth complaining about.

Milestone post help push people to get bigger mobs ... It works for Grimm ... Without those encouragements he would never hit the accept invite button 😜

Example-
CAPO Milestones
Joe hits 20k
Jonny hits 40k
Henry gets 1,000,000 influence

I like this idea, mojopilot. Grimm, you're definitely correct in saying that these come in waves, but there are always at least a few in the first page of the GD forum, and there are often a ton of them. It's not always an issue, but when a wave hits, it would definitely be nice if there was a forum dedicated to them.

As for the "no one would read them" argument: that's as much a reason to get them out of the GD forum as anything. If the general population doesn't want to read them, why have them in the general discussion forum?
