Fight sounds - guns, chains, explosions
News - morse code or radio waves
Turf - happy kids at a playground
Mob - dudes playing poker, laughing, drinking

In the last MMO I played, Lootwars, the sounds were good (limited to two or three sfx per button) but it really added a lot to the game.

There are more important functionality tweaks to worry about before adding new effects.

I don't see how this could make a text-based game fun, sorry. Go get a gun app, fight someone, then play the gun app as loud as you desire.

Fuck sounds, they are super annoying, if you want to hear gun shots every time you attack some one try one of Aftershock games and see what I mean
