Delete comments, not threads

I have noticed a recent rash of deleted threads recently. It seems like more of a cover up than removal of offensive material. Maybe someone cries hurt feelings, and there goes the thread! Recently I had a thank you thread deleted for who knows why, I was thanking people respectfully and politely.

My suggestion is to delete offensive comments, not the entire threads.

If the entire thread is offensive, delete it.
That is not the case in most circumstances.
