A watch tower is a rare loot that you build like a turf. You can place it anywhere you are in range to build from, but there are no upgrades for a watch tower. It's purpose is that you place it somewhere, and anytime someone builds a turf in your build radius, you get a notification. Maybe we could even make watch tower notifications another news tab. I can see a lot of possible uses for it, and I think it would be nice. Also, watch towers CAN be capped, but another watch tower has to be in range for you to cap it. If you don't like where you have a watch tower placed, you can simply unequip it and place it somewhere else. It also does not work for the first 24 hours because that's the capping time for a turf. Any ideas? Questions? Approvals? Shoot downs?

I love this idea, only feedback I have is the having a watchtower nearby in order to cap the other - I just think who needs two watchtowers in the same place.. That is just my opinion btw it might not be the right one, I am sure there are alternatives but apart from that love the idea!!!!!!!!

How about make this one uncommon, and have a hidden tower rare
Hidden towers are not visible to others but regular ones are -
So it sends you a notification anytime someone plants a turf in the build radius of the watchtower? What is its radius equivalent to? You'd have to have tons of them to make them worthwhile.

It would maybe have to be a much larger area radius for notifications than the turf capping radius but that's ok because it's a tower and they can see further... I think it should also tell who else has been fighting/attacking turfs etc in that area to help you keep things under control..

No one cares who's fighting another player. I'm not sure how I feel about being notified of other player's turf being attacked or capped (unless you are in a V, obviously). I can't really see the point of having one in a crowded area or in a war zone. So much happens that you wouldn't catch most of it anyway.

I can be capped from further than .7 miles. I can cap further than .7 miles, depending on the player. So are you making them stackable?

Hidden towers would easily show up when you go to plant a turf, since it would still take up space.
As far as the notification, would it just say that a player(s) have planted in the build radius of the tower named "x" or would it actually list the names of the players that planted there?
I think having different towers to do different things is a bit complicated. I think you should focus on 1 thing - the original suggestion, which would be alerting to planting turf.
Although there's only 1 scenario I can think of where a single watch tower would suffice. For most other things, the areas would be too large to be covered by only 1.
