Say I'm at work and checking TW via a web browser and I come across a player posting in the forums I want to check out, why can't I view their profile?

Why can't I view my profile via the web? Or go to the marketplace and buy and sell weapons? Read my comments and pm's and respond?

I would not go much further than that as it can open the game up to abuse but why not?

It's a good idea, but then it would defeat the purpose of it being a mobile IOS game.

Nope. Think about it, only being able to use limited features for a start and being able to use the app on another device is somehow less mobile?

Because what you are saying is that you can access everything but placing turf.

I don't know how much you know about online pc games or if your more of a mobile gamer or whatever, but, in my experience of online pc games players can easily run program's to gain an unfair advantage - e.g. Somebody could run a macro on their pc to auto buy weopons or upgrade turf etc each time their income was paid without needing to even play the game which would really piss me off (it always seems to happen on pc games).. I would rather TW stayed botter free :-)

For most people, money's not really limited in this game, so that kind of exploit wouldn't provide any advantage. The only useful script would be one that enters codes for you, which is why randombloke didn't suggest making the mob tab available on the site

Maybe view profile and pm but not buy/sell weapons cuz that can b exploited easily

Kinda like how Xbox on the console has the features of playing games/music/video/apps etc ... But they still provide online sign in via PC or through app to check out everything without taking away anything. Same could be done for TW. You got the app as a game as main, but TW is still available to you elsewhere.

The features available online would be limited but you should be able to:
1) access your profile, pm's and comments.
2) access other players profiles, pm them etc.
3) review your turf (only the list on your profile not the map).
4) check vs you're in or against you.
5) buy/sell weapons at market.

You should not be able to:
1. Mob up
2. Buy don points
3. Plant turf

I think this is spot on, being able to review stuff and communicate without being able to gain an advantage from a secondary device.

He's saying the devs already have drawn a line. You can log in, view a map (not sure how current), read and post in the forums, and you actually CAN buy respect points online. The suggestion is to move that line, expand it to include what he suggested. I would like to be able to see my profile as others do, but that probably is another topic.
