How about some benefit for "checking in" at your turf. That is, checking in when your gps location is in the turf radius. Something to do now that I've hit the turf limit.

If they did that then people just build turf all around their house/work area indtead of trying to expand.

You could try capturing turf.

It could be something like a small defensive boost for you or that turf while you're within the turfs radius.
