New Kind of Turf

Ok bare with me.. I'm still fleshing out this idea.
So in my vision, you can place 2 different kinds of turf.
1. The normal variety.
2. Factory turf.
- Factory turfs are available 1 turf for every 50 existing normal turfs. They would not be purchasable via don points, just added to your availability as you increase your normal turf amounts (whether through planting or capturing)
- They would be placed on the map as other turf is. Within the green circle.

-They are upgradable but at the cost of significant UPKEEP, adding to the existing upkeep levels of your weaponry and armor. Upgrades to this turf would also be quite expensive.
-They are fundamentally useless until upgraded to their MAXIMUM at which point they would churn out "x" # of a special weapon or armor or whatever that is better than what is currently offered. Tanks or something of the sort.
-As with most weapons, Tanks would require an upkeep of their own in addition to the upkeep taken by the Factory turf.
-As you own more factory turfs, you produce more of the specialized weapon.
-Factory turfs can be attacked and when not at full influence, do not produce weaponry. Additionally factory turf could be captured if and ONLY if, the player attempting to capture has an available spot for a factory turf (ie: no blowing past the turf limit via capturing)

-(optional) The specialized weapon could either be kept by the manufacturer, or GIFTED to another player of the manufacturers choice.
The idea behind this. For people with 100+ turfs and epic #'s of mobsters, the game is getting stale. This gives the higher level players a renewed vested interest in continuing to grow and gain this commodity.
Problems arising from this idea
-Unbalancing - easily fixed by adding a turf/mob # cap on who can attack who. This protects lower level players from bullying, at least giving them the opportunity to lay low and build. -
-People who use multiple devices or jailbroken phones to run multiple instances of the game. I personally think this should be banned as mule or additional accounts is cheating in my book. With this system in place, a person with multiple accounts could amass special weaponry at a much faster rate than others if they chose to gift their main account from their mules with this new weaponry.
However, most people who use mule accounts use them for capturing more turf since goods and money are not interchangable. Adding this would force those players to make their mule accounts more active, and therefore, more vulnerable to other players.

Damn!! Love the concept! I agree on the mule account and jailbroken phone point. This shouldn't be that hard to eliminate Nick.

Can i ask what advantages jailbroken phones have? This app is a free app I hear alot of people comenting about jailbroken phones but you can only get apps for free with them can't you? Oh and I think this idea is good it will help with the mule accounts to ☺

Good idea Moscow! Problem is Nick has already answered the question of mule accounts. Plus apple allows a certain no. of "mule" type accounts. Plus it's an individual's opinion. If ppl want to cheat they will always find a way.
And if anyone jailbreaks a phone and cheats to get ahead, the devs do check.

Maybe well get lucky and nick will give this some attention. We need something fresh to reinvigorate gameplat for us wily vets who've spent a long time playing (and some money spent too)

The basic idea of different types of turfs is GREAT; the details would need alot if work, though. I could totally see Nick running with that idea, though.

I like the idea because it makes u build turfs in populated areas.....but also build a bunch around the factory for defense. Maybe that would add some interest.

Maybe u get one factory and it can't be captured but if someone gets a turf built close enough they can attack it and shut it down for x amount of time. Defense of a base would be added. Then turf attacking would have more fun and you could always rebuild somewhere to come back and recapture ur factory. Unless u make it moveable when u have x turfs left.

Great idea! Maybe the factories could help lower the cost of some weapons or increase their effectiveness

I still have a significant bank of ideas relating to this specific concept. Just too much to type. Nick if you're intersted in hearing more I'd be glad to speak more about using a mote fluid venue for idea exchange.
