Charge $4.99 or $9.99
This game is very expensive if u wish to be a top player. I know one who has spent over $4k and claims that she is not in the top 25 spent. All people who do not wish to spend lots of money, but wish to have an even footing, would pluck down $5 to $10 on this game. Instead of losing people completely, they would just move to the other version. Same rules, same 5 free points a day, etc.

No,
The game is only as expensive as you want to make it. -

It's kinda late for that now. But if that's how they made turf wars it would've been a way more successful game.

Unless u spend hundreds/thousands of real $ u cannot be a top player at this point. At 20k mob I require 250-300 turfs to fully arm my mob. U get around 60 turfs from leveling up. At 3 new turfs a week from free pts, it would take 2 years to have that level w/o spending real dollars. If u get there by capping, someone larger wipes out half ur turfs and u have to sell off equipment to get out of being negative income. Not to mention the inability to move. This game is okay for spending no money if u do not mind being fodder for larger players who have spent real $. The math does not lie.

Keep in mind that Mean Free Path is an iOS developer. This is how they make ALL their money. Why would they make it completely free to play, they need to put food on the table too.
-
My post say to charge $5 to $10 for the App. That is how he makes money. I am not a socialist. Does everyone realize if they want to be a top player that they must spend a significant amount of real $. I like this game, but hundreds of $ to not be a second rate player seems a bit much. But that is just me. No offense to all that spent that much.
-
The dude is not saying u have to spend money. He is saying that u will no more than a 2nd rate player if u don't. I would spend $5-$10. His math is also correct.

For the people typing the word No, I was hoping for the reasons for the No. U do realize that people who spend hundreds of real $ are at a significant advantage over people who do not. So, unless u r someone who dropped the cash and need smaller players for various reasons, why would u not want to be on even footing. I would love to hear the rational.

Look out side thats life. more money more power. the key is stop complaining and do your best you can succeed. If you charge money for a game most people wont download it unless you know it's good. Do what most people do spend 15 dollars a month that's all you need to be good Just a few here or there that's what I doFor the people typing the word No, I was hoping for the reasons for the No. U do realize that people who spend hundreds of real $ are at a significant advantage over people who do not. I am not complaining, I am offering an alternative version for people who refuse or cannot afford hundreds for a game. All those people will eventually leave for good anyway. This way Nick can make money off this group also.

It's not the cash that's the issue. It's the RL time you need to put into the game to be a 'contender'. Not worth it.
The game is basically designed for casual capture as it falls away at the ends (little mobs in vendettas, stupid range against big players), but it has a big sweet spot the middle where it works just fine. That's where you want to be to get the most enjoyment out the game.
I still lose turf daily regardless of how much cash I spent. So why send the cash and lose turf? Just don't spend the cash and lose the turf anyway is what I say.

U don't have to spend hundreds/thousands to enjoy this game, I spend around 40$ a month, yes ppl like havoc who spend lots can wipe me out. So I do the smart thing and stay out of there way. Also having friends goes a long way. More then money in some ways. It wouldn't matter how much money havoc or anyone else for that matter if everyone in the game hated them. I've seen in the forums that smoke monster spent 4k$ on brens, but u think that his 23k brens would save him if everyone in the game hated him? Also does it really matter if ur number one. Battle ppl ur size, or get friends and go after someone bigger. And being number isn't easy u have to work at it time and money, think about it u want to be the best in the world at something.

U can work as hard as u want in this game and u will NEVER be a top player unless u spend a lot of cash. Eventually this game will be a few players who have spent more money than even they wish to admit. All others will move on to games where they stand a chance. It is just a matter of time. The new codes per day is much lower than when I started and the number leaving has increased.

I don't necessarily agree there. The game has so much for non 'top' players. Ask bad ass mofo who is currently in a vendetta against me how many turf I have capped off him since this vendetta started and how many he's capped off me. It's practically a one way street in his favour due to cap range. Cont...U can work as hard as u want in this game and u will NEVER be a top player unless u spend a lot of cash. What a lot of people don't understand is that being in the 'average' of other players is magic. A lot of disadvantages to being a 'top' player. You don't have to be at the top to have fun. It's about fun. But you have to put the work in to.
And as for spending you can do well with modest input into the game.

The suggestion was a new Turf Wars with all money spent up front on app cost. From the responses I received the answer is no or players that would be interested don't read the forum.
-
You want me to start that whole 2 years worth of punching again? AGAIN?!? No way. Plus the app is better as a free app. I once asked the Devs if they would make a 'premium app' with the certain improvements like better turf page and increased stats. They said no.
It works better as a free app as more people are likely to join than a paid app.
-
I haven't spent much money on this app. There is much more to this game than just spend money and win. I'm no top player, but there are those that have spent more than me that I can lay a beating to, then there are those that have spent less than me that can lay a beating to me.
To put money spent in perspective think about buying a brand new Xbox/PS game at $60+ a unit.
-
Also if this app costed $10 to download there would be FAR FAR less users. When I first started there is no way I would have bought this for $10, there is no way of knowing if it would be worth it.
-
If the game was 5-10$ then there would be no don points free or paid. There would be no way to increase turf limit.
Unless you want Nick to create a whole new game. -

What would this do? Have people pay money to buy TW or play for free on this version. The other game would be a flop... -
You do realize that if we all spent $10 to buy this, we would all be at the same level again, right?
