The Mafia (Please read, I want to see your feedback)

What this is is pretty much an NPC in the game that can attack you, cap and attack turfs, level up, buy weapons and whatnot. The Mafia cannot make forum posts or pms (duh), and the mafia is different for each capo region. In each capo region the mafia automatically spawns with x turfs at 86 inf. (with no def upgrades or loot). The number of turf spawned per region depends in the number of players (active or inactive) in that region.

The mafias strength and mob depends on its local influence. The mafia automatically starts with 1-5k mob, depending on the capo regions players mobs (sorry if that's confusing). The mafias mob is also composed of npcs, not npc players however (this means that the mafias mob is just a number that can change). The mafias mob can increase or decrease, depending on how strong it is in your area. It is possible to eradicate the mafia from a region by whittling its mob down enough and capping all it's turfs locally. If you eradicate the mafia in your region, you recieve the title "The Eradicator" after your name.

The mafia can be a capo, but it cannot be on the leader boards because it is unique to each capo region. The mafia buys enough weapons to fully equip its mob automatically, with weapons that are decided at random. The mafia cannot create turfs, it can only cap them, and the mafias turf will always spawn withing capping range of an active player outside of don protection. The mafias turf are gray, and it's spawned turf are titled "mafia". Capped turfs turn gray and receive the word mafia in parenthesis after its name prior to being capped. What do you think?

There was a suggestion sort of like this a very long time ago, I still like it.

There probably was something similar awhile ago, but I figured I'd post this anyways.

My first thought is that it sounds like it could be very taxing on the server(s).

Is the point of this to bring diversity and a non active player to tax? Or to bring an enemy and an opponent to fight off?
-
To make the game a bit more challenging and fun.

👍👍👍

I agree an npc would add to the game but not as intense as your suggestion. To hard to code so many random factors. Also what happens when the npc caps so much that income in the area gets screwed?

Seems like a lot of work for the devs. 👎

No!No!no!no!bad bad moy mal bad! I mean you sure wrote it out and thought about it, I'll give you credit for that but...lot of complications for servers, overcrowding, and if you want npcs the you have inactives

Why would anyone want a fake player that can cap your turf? That would be pointless. A fake player doesn't need the income or cash capping a turf provides.
An 86 inf turf in "each capo area" doesn't make sense (some small capos only have room for 1 turf), plus it could affect strategy.
You couldn't have real players in its mob unless you made it automatically accept every invite. It wouldn't make sense to randomly pick some players & not others to be in its mob.
Turf Wars can already be as challenging as you want it to be. I have fun as it is now. IMO fake players wouldn't make the game more fun.
