I have three ideas to add more GPS use to the game.

Idea #1: Much like turf placed at an airport or a distance greater than 400[?] miles from your nearest turf, turf placed by GPS instead of nearby turf should get a 30% defense BONUS that deteriorates over 4 weeks to 0. It could have a message similar to the weaker message, but I'm not sure what it would say.

Idea #2: Turf placed by GPS has a shortened capture timer. Maybe 12 or 18 hours instead of 24. Since only the date created shows up, other people wouldn't know the exact cap time, but would be able to know it has an accelerated timer. It's not a complete advantage, only a slight one.

Idea #3: The ability to capture a turf immediately based on your GPS location with the need to place a turf and wait. The range would be a set range instead of based on other factors. Maybe there could be a red ring inside the green "place turf" ring so you can tell what you can cap, or maybe you just have to go to each individual turf to find out. Since this is a more severe advantage than the other ones, there should be a cap limit per person for GPS caps. Maybe 1 or 2 caps of a player per day.

All those have been suggested before. I'm still opposed to #2 & #3.

As has been said before, not everyone plays all the time. People deserve 24 hours to check the map around them & see if anyone is trying to sneak up on them.

#3 No. There's no way to prepare for that because you can't "see" the player there without a turf. It also completely bypasses turf limit, which is another bad idea.

I really hadn't thought of the turf limit issue with #3 until Baron mentioned it, and I guess I have to agree.

I don't think an 18 hour timer is all that detrimental though, and it might encourage more people to use GPS.

#1 is the one I'd really like to see, the other two are just working ideas.

I like the turf laid by location idea. Actually beanig at a place should have an advantage.
