When you hop i think it would be helpful if you could drop a pin on your destination and when you click 'add turf' then an arrow shows up pointing directly towards your pin so you can see which direction is closest to your route

Actually, really like this. You could even have a distance from nearest turf on the pin so you can track your distance to go.

One thought though, this is as the crow flies. Dead zones will mean that sometimes you can't go the direct route.

I suppose there would still be an element of it left to you because you'd still have to make sure the road you are going doesn't curve off and not have any branches causing you to have to turn around, but if you knew you could go straight there, if for example you were hopping through towns and cities, it would be good to have it pointing you the right way :)

I still love this idea, the only time I hopped was from San Antonio to Laredo, an the only reason I didn't have to backtrack was because I just followed the highway there!

I usually plan my route first, I like the distance to the target. Don't really care for an arrow.

To get the distance to the target, I go to google maps, and click directions and enter where I want to go, and it show, If you followed on the road, the distance! But it would be so much easier if it said the distance on the map!!!!

I could go either way on this. I'm used to hopping without it. Sometimes I do use Google maps to plan long distances.

However, in TW, I also end up zooming out to check I'm heading the right way & seem to lose myself about half the time. 😂

@Red_Nation, I typically just use the distance on the closest turf to where I'm heading. You just have to keep in mind that the distance may be further if there are lots of dead spots or you can't hop in a straight line.
