I think it would be good if you are attacking a turf and your GPS location is within the turf boundaries then it weights your attack more. If I was able to "infiltrate" your turf then I should be able to attack you easier.
This would help little guys recapture turf in their home location because they could drive to the location to recap.

What happens if I hope out to a far away location or fly to a new city and plant my own turfs? Wouldn't this make expanding much harder for everyone?

You'd only have a disadvantage for the one turf that's actually over the person's current location. And even then only of their iPhone's on at the time, so spreading out wouldn't really be more difficult. It just means everyone gets a 'core' turf that's easier to keep hold of

Idk..I am intrigued by the idea. I have been advocating that defense be made worthwhile in this game but i see this idea takes to offense. I can't completely make up my mind on this

Well if you got a stalker driving to all your turf that would be bad. But not probable. Plus daily turf limit would help.

I think that if this were to get implemented it should be implemented on a gradual scale. The close you are to the turf/person ur attacking the stronger ur attack gets. But that should also work the same for defense. So the closer u are to ur turf that is being attacked, the stronger will be ur defense.
