Selectable Loot

How about a player-set option (click on/off) for each type of mission loot that says whether we want it or not... I have absolutely no need for brass knuckles, so I would turn them off. When I'm hopping in areas of bad geocoder coverage, I may really, really want maps, so I would turn everything but maps off. I'm not suggesting any change in the drop rates, just what is awarded. This would enable each player to drive things toward their particular style of game play. Some may want to only receive upgrades (UB, LL, tunnels, etc); others only care about maps, and warriors may prefer to get more Bazookas, Omertàs, etc. I don't think this gives an unfair advantage at all, since by narrowing your loot choices you are also excluding yourself from getting things that you may later regret passing on.

The point of loot is that it is very random. Nobody wants brass knuckles. Doing this wouldn't make sense

why not? why not be able to say "I don't care about bazookas, I want police maps"?

you wouldn't be getting loot any more often, just getting more of the type of loot that actually helps your particularly way of playing the game.

I only want ARs.

Maybe if your chances at loot decreased with every item you replaced... I wouldn't back this idea up anyways.

Currently it is approx 10% chance of loot. If there were 10 loot items then the % would drop as you cut off the items. In effect if you only wanted 1 item you would have a 1% chance of getting loot. It's not that the loot isn't there it is that you have selected not to pick it up. Seems like a silly idea to me.
You can't keep the loot % the same because this is not shopping you are committing a crime and chance upon loot.

I think the basic concept is a good one. But it could cause some unbalances. Say someone sets it to only ARs or the modelo rifle. It'd be like the Bren guns. A player like Das or smoke could mass dump energy on loot missions and be almost unstoppable. A 20k mobster could get their attack so high it could potentially overpower a 30 or even 40k mobster.

No.

You couldn't add anything insightful? Just no? If you don't want to contribute to the betterof the formation of a possible game change, don't comment at all. Just remember that you aren't as big and respected as you think you are.No.

Uh nowhere did I say anything about odds. Odds wouldn't matter. Say you turned off all the loot but modelos and ARs. So all you would get is modelos and ARs. Your attack would be insanely high.Ꮹཞ།ཀཀ wrote:
No you must not have read all the responses. It doesn't increase your odds of getting loot, just chooses not to collect things you turn off! So no balance would be affected. But this whole idea is terrible, if you don't want brass knuckles then sell them!I think the basic concept is a good one. But it could cause some unbalances. @Ꮹཞ།ཀཀ
Your saying it again without realizing it. NOBODY would collect more of a certain loot than any other, This idea is just saying they don't want to collect the shitty loot! -
Unless I'm not understanding it, which is very possible! LOL

It's free stuff... so it really doesn't matter if you get it or not, since you dont have to drag it back home yourself (nor does it take up valuable space). Just keep pressing the do again button! or is the 1cm change mess up your missionflow? 😿
tl;dr it doesn't change gameplay AT ALL

I don't know maybe I'm not either lol. The way I'm understanding it is, say you wanted only police maps. Then you would turn off everything but police maps. Therefore that would be the only loot you would get. Maybe Doc X-ray can clarify..Unless I'm not understanding it, which is very possible! LOL

Ok doc X-ray, do u mean that if you turned off everything but maps, then anytime it gives you loot you would get maps?
Or do you mean if you turn off everything but maps, when you looted something besides maps it would give you nothing?
I ask because Grimm and I are confused....the first way would cause an unbalance. People would do what Grimm was saying and just try to loot ARs and modelo's.
But if it's the second one this would just get rid of useless loot.

It would have to be the 2nd way. You can't choose what you would find. This would also have to apply to loot crates. So you may get loot crates that don't contain anything because you turned those items off.Ok doc X-ray, do u mean that if you turned off everything but maps, then anytime it gives you loot you would get maps?

I agree but I was asking doc since it is his thread.
