Have a communty system, say if a lare percentage of the local population claim something is a harbour etc. then make it one

Could talk to starbucks (for espresso) for instance, and have them implement themselves into the game. Great advertising and since they're on the rise worldwide it would be fairly fair. (though, US would have a head start (as per usual))

Canollis could be changed to pizzas and the same would be applicable to pizza hut :)

I like this idea too and I don't think it would be too hard to code. Apps like ShopKick already use GPS to determine the store you're in. Nice idea!!
