Turf capture problem

Ok let's say there are three turf in a row. One mine and two another players. A= mine B&C= other player.
If let's say both b&c are in range of a. And I cap the closest turf to a. Then go on to cap turf c.
It will try to cap with turf B which needs 24 hrs to cap. Meanwhile turf A is in range and capable of capture.
Same should hold true for the influence rules. If I have a one influence turf and a 43 influence both in range of an 84 influence turf. I should not have to raise influence on the other one influence turf if it happens to be closer. The turf that meets the requirement should supersede.

I agree, had this same issue on Gas Day. The capture algorith should check all turfs in range and choose the one that meets all the criteria, if one does, not just the closest one to the turf you want to capture.

If you don't pick the one closest to the turf to be captured, it enables the attacker to wipe out a foe far too quickly, destroying any strategy of turf placement. In other words, it's an equalizer of sorts.

Eh it's more of an annoyance that an equalizer IMO.
The cap limits prevent you from wiping someone out too quickly. This seems more like a gameplay problem that could be fixed.
