With people doing cross country turf hops, people clamoring for in game travel (planet tickets) and the reality that you'll probably never stop gps spoofing (especially people making realistic trips from their basement) GPS positioning, a unique aspect of this game, continues to erode as a value proposition.

So, when people login you get their location, base the revenue from turf and adjust combat ability based on that location. I.e., the boss can't keep tabs on the west coast and east coast fully at the same time. And when the cat's away the mice come out to play.

The idea is that turfs farther away from your last check in position get lower revenue and lower your attack influence. The farther away, the less value -- until you physically check in over there.

(This is an idea straight from Civ where the farther away your cities are from your capital, the less productive they are).
