This s a social game, and I think that the impersonal dregery of inputting codes ruins it. Personally, I think that this game would be much more fun and strategic if:
1) only mob members within 500 to 1000 miles could actually contribute to attack and defense.
2) A chance / dieroll were incorporated into attack and defense from weapons, i.e., AK 47 would add 2d6 (two rolls of a six sided dice) to your attack rather than a definite 12.
3) Special, mission only dropped weapons.
4) inability to attack or participate in vendettas against mob members, or to form vendettas with people not in your mob. -
Don't be so stupid that's 1 of the parts of the game for the person to get off there lazy ?£@!€$#% and punch some codes

Not being able to vendetta mob members lacks realism altho I kinda like that they have to be in your mob to join a v.

All in all one of your ideas doesn't do anything. Most are there or already being implemented and I see one salvagable idea

My ideas do do something. Battles will be for both factional control of a city and also between rival cities.
You don't like it because it marginalizes you for doing the really lame mechanic of entering codes for literally hours.

I totally know that none of this would be implemented because the players with the most voice are also the most invested into a flawed mechanic.

It would give those in more populated areas a greater advantage. With adding codes, even those in rural areas can have a chance.
But if u think about it...the only people you would be fighting are those close to you right? So if you only use players that are close to you for attack and defense, your opponent will most likely have the exact same players helping him or her. What would be the point of attack and defense anymore? It would just be the random factor deciding who wins and who loses.

Is there somewhere both out of range for mobs in this proposal and in range for attack? No.

And the chance aspect will have little impact on someone 5x as powerful as the opponent, with more money or resources.
