U can upgrade 1000 guns for about 1M$.

I like the idea of weapon upgrades. I think it should cost a decent amount of money per weapon...maybe 30-40% of the original cost of the weapon to upgrade. Also increase the upkeep of upgraded weapon to may be the same %.
This might give a bit more to fights other than who has the bigger mob. I feel if this was implemented people will have couple of options: 1) Mob up more and equip with first level weapons, 2) dont mob up as much but equip second level weapons or 3) Mob up more and equip second level weapons.
There are pros and cons for each option and will give dynamics to fight match ups. For example a person that is currently using option 1 vs a person that is using option 2. There maybe instances where people have a mix of two or more of the options, which will bring even more dynamic to the fights. The balance is that for more power/defense, you have to pay a much higher upkeep and not to mention that upfront upgrade costs and the cost of actually buying the weapons armor

Your idea about it being another option other than punching is stupid.I don't think it's a stupid idea other than punching. I completely understand that punching is the all important way of getting stronger. But there are many players that do not have as much time to punch as others. These options is anything but stupid...it may need more though though.

Maybe we can make the cost of upgrade reflective of the number of turfs you own and/ur mobsize. This is what happens with the price of planting a turf to a degree. Your level and influence are among the factors that decide how much it will cost to plant a turf. Maybe similar protocols could be put into place for weapon upgrade costs.
