Ive seen plenty of players doing things like posting their invite code in the gd, and have no idea what they did wrong. I think that the first time that someone recieves a 24 hour ban, that they should be sent a notification or something that tells them what they did wrong and what else to avoid doing.

Many. What defines a violation of TOS? The devs and mods have a responsibility to inform users clearly and correctly. Not with a response say "you're banned for 24 hours because you violated TOS for trolling".
Use some common sense an explain where they trolled so they won't do it again.

A warning would be civil... Of course the community must still police it with stamina dumps of offenders. It's also a good way to learn.
