Not turf limit loot
Forums › Suggestions & Feedback › Not turf limit loot-
I know this has been suggested before but this is slightly different.
What I'm suggesting is a loot that allows you to place turf if over limit, but not increase limit. It would be rare and you would need 1 for every 10 turf that you are over limit.
For example.
Let's say you are at 150/50, so you are 100 over limit. You would need 10 of these loot in order to place one new turf. Once a new turf has been placed the 10 loot would be used up and removed from your inventory. To go along with using these loot there should be an ingame cash fee. Maybe an exponential increase based on how many loot you are using to place the new turf.
I know this bypasses buying turf limit, but as a rare loot and needing more then one will reduce the amount of times you can bypass limit.

Problem is there's already so much loot and because it's not spaced out its difficult to gain. How many of us need police maps but hardly loot them? Te same thing would happen. There's no point. I would rather see an increase in the basic turf limit so everyone has an instant benefit.

No, if a person is over limit, they shouldn't have a way around it to strategically plant a new turf. It is one of the downfalls to being over limit.
Many new players aren't thinking about the full implication of war in this game, because large confrontation is rarely encountered, and usually someone's asking for it. When you go to war, your strategy is based primarily on how well you have prepared for it, as well as who you're going against.
IMO capturing turf IS the bypass to buying turf limit, this would be a bypass to a negative effect of being over limit. -
Wait up. The reality is that in highly populated areas basic limit is not enough to give a new player enough income to build up daily. So they run missions, to gain turf limit and make money ultimately killin any strategic advantage a low level has. The lower end of this game is designed to trap players. If you become immobile you either enjoy the social aspect or you spend money. Players have outgrown the game and the game has expanded accordingly.
And this is from someone who's seen both the high and low end of gameplay. Being over limit isn't a downfall, many, many players have no alternative.

I'm not trying to suggest that being over limit is a downfall, simply that there are negative aspects that come along with being over limit. One being that you can't hop, and the other that you can't gain a strategic location during confrontation, without capping or sacrificing turf. That being said, I would not oppose a limit increase loot, but I could not support a loot that gives you such a significant strategic advantage.

I agree. I crossed the limit at around 20 turf. When I started playing this game I was lucky and was on a cross country trip so I got to spread out. People are often over limit very early in the game. And if they aren't someone who buys limit it become incredibly hard to be competitive at all.Wait up. I don't think limit should ever be bypassed. I do agree that the basic limit needs increasing. However, the limit can't increase at too early a level or the 10% rule will no longer be much help to new players.

Turf limit is the main balancing factor of the game. There should never be a limit bypass

I know; I just don't really have a solution. If they raise their inf too fast they get capped more & lose money. Maybe some of the upgrades need a "cost of living" raise? Lol.Mystery wrote:

On second thought you guys are right. There shouldn't be a bypass, but a limit increase.

I think 1 turf increase per lvl. It takes longer for a godfather to level up than a lvl 50 ect ect. So between the free dp offered ever 24 hrs(app 3 new turfs a week) plus your leveling up a new player would have a decent chance to sustain the bigger players

What about no turf limit increases, but if you are far enough away from your existing turf (airports) (traveling in real life) etc... U are allowed to place a (1) new turf for the purposes of proliferating the game. This would be fair to all, help the game by populating more areas, make you have to fight to grow locally, and not kill nicks pocketbook.

Maybe somewhere between 100 and 500 miles?

What? You can already place turf at your current location (assuming you are under limit). For over limit players.... Obviously if you are under you can build wherever. I should have clarified that, but i wrote it at 3am after my kids all woke me up! What percentage of players are over limit or at limit do you think? I'm guessing it is consistently a high number.

I like this idea. Make it like an inversed police map but only allow you to place 1 new turf in a ring between 100-250 miles from the turf you placed it on. Then you have to be within the green range to plant the turf. Still offers limits to usage and you still have to physically be at the remote location to plant that 1 turf. Strategy still involved... Just expanding on the idea. Thoughts?
