Suggestion re the overload on the GD
Forums › Suggestions & Feedback › Suggestion re the overload on the GD-
Theres lots of shouting about the crap on the GD forum. Personally Im not interested in someones Mums ill or can I get a girlfriend etc etc. If I want that then I'd google it. Could you consider a forum for all things not Tw related or maybe clear down non Tw items every once over a month old? I agree that everyone has different things they want to say but maybe we could push the generally non Tw stuff off the mainstream please please. Cheers

But it's a general forum. That's where the crap belongs. If you don't like it don't read it. I agree it's becoming annoying but there's no need to create a game specific area as they exist. Help, tech, vendetta.

A specific trash talk forum would be awesome but I think it would get way outta hand

I take your point Vadan but still think it would improve the experience for what I would expect are a significant number of players who are interested in TW only. I'm sure if the volume of Posts increase then it would seem logical for the evolution of the game to follow suit ie adapt the forum to have more headings. You will always have posters in the wrong area as we see all the time, but the vast majority of users will post to the appropriate place. Regards

If I didn't think it unfeasible, I'd suggest a vote (not just us 3 tho 😉) I don't think when the original design was done that the volumes of msgs today or people's need to talk crap where it's not (in my opinion) needed would have been appreciated. I bet Nick n pals didn't sit round having a strokey beard meeting and said 'yeah and we'll have a GD forum so the punters can discuss MOH, Xbox, illness, religion etc adnausum' I would hope that the interweb already has twit book face for all of that. I say dilute it by encouraging it to its own heading.

There are three forums for TW.
Help, suggestions and technical.GD is specifically for all the other 'crap' as you put it.
And being someone whose mother recently died I find your comments about those posts to be disrespectful for this who are seeking support from friends.

What he wants is the gd split in gd off topic and gd for tw talk only for thing tw related that have nothing to do with help, tech, vendetta. I think it would be abused and more trolling would occur. Plus how much tw gd talk is there really.

Swag I'm sorry you feel I'm in someway being disrespectful to your mother. I think you may perhaps be over-reacting to a mere suggestion of adding an additional forum heading. If you wish to share your personal life with x million strangers on a turf wars forum then that is indeed your perogative and I would wish to stop you nor remove any empathy for your mother. I personally have experienced more than the same over the last period but I choose not to share it with a faceless audience. If you wish to compare notes then on a one to one basis feel free to PM me as I have real friends and family who support my grief. Kind regardsThere are three forums for TW.

Correction - 'Not wish to' above of course. We are all different and deal with these things in different ways. Please don't call me disrespectful when that is not the point I am making.

"x million strangers" & "faceless audience" shows that you haven't been around long enough to know the TW community. There are some pretty amazing people here & we do support each other with real life issues too. The social aspect is a huge part of the game.
As far as a separate forum, in theory it's a nice idea. I don't believe it would actually work though. Suddenly I see the reasoning behind a vet forum.

That's weird

Apologies for my use of language and any offence I may have caused. This thread is simple - should there be a heading for all things non TW or not?
-
And I really hate the clear non tw items after a month idea. I'd be devastated if anything happened to the dear Lep thread

Agree, I really enjoy reading old threads. That's partly why I suggested some level of protection for GD. With the number of new small players joining the critical mass had tipped. If the flood of posts drives ppl away, then everyone looses.⌖🔥Belial🔥⌖ wrote:

I'm a noob in many ways, I'd like TW vets to continue being active in the forums so I, and others, will continue to benefit.

On refection, I agree that culling old threads can't work, as there are many works of art threads out there that slip away and then come back to make people smile (eg the BC characters in TW assessment which is soo spot on!) And yes I also think if someone takes the time to add a post about anything then they have the right to do so as it means something to that person. I wish something could be done to stop my wall getting spammed with invite codes that I will never enter (and no please don't do what the devil on your shoulder may now be suggesting!)
