I think a javelins missil launcher as a weapon would b the best change. Let's get some modern tech in this game. The newest weapon was made in like the 60s

FYI for anyone who doubted Tom's math, it is correct. In order to win a fight against a properly (full RPGs, miniguns, and body armor), the attacker needs just over 129% of the defenders mob members.
A 100-mob defender will beat a 129-mob attacker if both are fully equipped and no A/D skill points.
As Tom pointed out, this gets really out of proportion when the mobs get huge. I think it would be nice to force players to choose if a new mob member is an offense or defense member. For example let's say I add Tom to my mob then I choose right then and there which type of member he is.
If I choose defense, that member will alaways take the highest defensive loadout possible. If I take offense, that member always takes the highest offensive loadout possible.

This solves two things at once:
1) Combat is too predictable right now. You can figure out with a 99% certainty if you will win a fight based on the oposition's inventory. If we make these off/def mob members unseen to others, it adds some risk to the fight (this is realistic because some mobs would have guard members and hitmen)
2) It forces players to make a choice with how they want to play. If you chose defensive everytime, you'll never win any fights that you start, but you won't lose many where you are the defense and vice versa. The game would be about having a good balance, not just the best of everything.
Just my two cents...

Best solution so far.

It would take me much too long to assign people. Not to mention it would bog down the invite system

Couple of thoughts. 1) could add something like Chobham Armour which has an ablative reaction to an attck, thus receives higher a/d values and 2) introduce consumption of attack weapons.

Belial, I agree that it might be a problem for those with a large mob to go through and select off/def for each mob member. I think a good way to handle this is by allowing a player to set how many of their current mob is off/def with one number.
For example if you have 1000 mob members you could say I want 400 offensive and 600 defensive. It doesn't matter which member specifically is which type, just that the game keeps a count of how many of each type we have.
Just another idea!

I meant to add that his declaration is a one-time thing when the upgrade is applied. I don't think you should be able to switch between attack and defense modes with your mob whenever you want (unless of course there was a steep price for doing so; like if it cost 5% of money in the bank or something...or respect points)

I do agree!!

Still not sold on tom59593s idea it just seems like to drastic of a change

Or I think that you could possibly have an options page where you select a percentage of your mob that you want what and that the game would automatically do it. It would help the larger members because they wouldn't have to individually do it and after the first time then it would take a considerable amount of respect points to change the percentage.

Ok. When's the armor with full sized nukes coming out then?

Maybe your mob could all carry gnades as an extra off weapon? Be an additional 10pts in att.
