I've seen some other posts about people stuck in an area with no way to turf hop. Could you do some like this to trick the system and get in to some other areas?
-
That would likely be considered a location cheat and get you banned.
-
And turf hopping has nothing to do with gps. Youjust need that first turf. Then you can build from there.
-
Not trying to get banned. Just read some other posts in other forums and was wondering if this would help them spread out.
-
Getting the system to think you are in another city/zip code would allow you to create that first turf. Then you can start hoping from there...just a thought. Honestly, I have only been at this for 2 weeks and don't fully understand everything.
-
What you're suggesting is an issue that needs to be taken up with the game developers. I'm just a player. It has been suggested to let players choose a default city if they can't get a location fix, but I don't know if anything like that will ever happen b
-
No worries. I have plenty of room to spread out (if I can survive that long). It was just something to think about.

Can't find my MAC adderess
-
It's somewhere in your router settings. Go to your router manufacturers website. They will have instructions on how/where to find it.
-
No go to settings; about; then the wifi numbers also from itouch I couldn't enter my lat/long at the skyhook request thing
-
You don't need to enter coordinates. Just an address.
As for settings, you need to enter your routers mac address NOT your device wifi address. Otherwise every router you conncet to may keep you at the same location you registered your device with.

I'm having some strange effects too. Im on a wifi iPad, and have been able to use the gps normally until about a week ago. Now every time I try to connect from my usual network it won't get a signal. No damage has happened to my router nor have we replaced anything... I just don't understand. Strange.

I think thats am ipad issue. I remember reading about crappy wifi connections. I think the solution was "don't lay it flat on a hard surface".
GOOOOOOoooooo APPLE!

Starbucks is offering free WiFi at all their US locations:
Starting July 1, you’ll be able to enjoy free, one-click, unlimited Wi-Fi at all company-operated Starbucks stores in the United States. What does that mean? It means:
- Free – no Starbucks Card required
- One-Click – no username or password needed

Just visit your neighborhood Starbucks, open your browser or mobile device and click to connect. It’s our way of providing you with a great digital experience to go with your cup of coffee.

mi location...? -
When did you submit it?
-
-
And also, it goes into the Atlantic ocean evry time I put mi adress in. I just put in my adress and email.
-
Spongebob? Is that you?
Try contacting skyhook.
-
Type you address into the text box above the map: 1234 Main Street Town State ZIP code. Then hit the Map It button. The latitude and longitude coordinates will fill in automatically, and you will get a pin for your location. If you need to, you can drag the pin to your proper location.
Then fill in the MAC address box with your router's mac address (not your device mac address) and you're email and hit the Submit button.
Skyhook should contact you shortly thereafter.

Lol 69 replies bfore mine and yeah sometimes my iPod says I'm in UAE and I live in the united states
-
My home router is mapped because it finds my location. Sometimes even when I'm home, it will use the last gps position it got when connected to a different router. I have to restart the iPod to get the updated gps location. Simply restarting the app doesn't work.

Are you on iOS4?
If so, have you tried closing the app in multitasking?
