Some reason it can't fetch my location on the gps
-
It won't on mine either
-
Get a better connection then.
-
Are you on wifi
-
Yes
-
Well then...maybe someone will make an Itouch users Location issues thread that might quite possibly have some explanations and possible solutions.

This has been an issue since the first upgrade after ios4. I still can't get a location for turfs , fights or adding nearby mobsters until I close the app via the multitasking bar or rebooting. It's a pain in the ass.
-
And I'm on an iPhone so nobody post the iTouch location thread.
-
Are you getting a wireless signal on your phone, or is it usuing wifi?
If it's your cell provider that you are connecting to, it could be a weal signal.
-
Happens on WiFi and when I have full bars, different cities all around the country, location doesn't matter.
-
If it does it on wifi, it's probably because the router you're connecting to isn't registered with skyhook. Or it's got the wrong info registered to it.
As far as cell signals, i dunno. Try turning wi-fi off. See if that helps.

I need to pay better attention. Try this:
1. Double tap the home button. That will bring up the apps open in multitasking.
2. Tap and hold an app, as if you want to delete the app.
3. After they go jiggly, tap them again. This closes the app. It will not delete it.
4. Restart the app. -

OK. I REALLY need to start paying better attention.
I hear that's an Apple issue though, and and not a TW issue. Nick will have to confirm.

It is an apple situation. The only way to combat is to get the app to auto-refresh itself whenever you open one of the tabs like the map.

Will it not fetch your location at all, or does it give you out-of-date info? What device/OS are you using?
-
It just stays on whatever part of the map you were looking at. Nothing refreshes. It will do this on other pages too. I experienced it mostly on the mob screen. Haven't been using the map a lot as I'm over limit. Simple close and (single tap on home button) restart doesn't fix it. Have to close it via multi-task closing.

Will not fetch location at all. Turf screen stays greyed out at "getting your location" with the spinning circle. Nearby mobsters says "location needed". It will stay this way until I close TW via the multitask bar or reboot. I am on iphone4 running ios4.Will it not fetch your location at all, or does it give you out-of-date info?
