Old Cities No Longer Available
Forums › Technical Issues › Old Cities No Longer Available-
The new geocoded has created some issues where cities that existed before are no longer places where new turfs can be placed. When you place new turfs next to ones in these cities, or where places the turf used to be recognized as City A, now it is recognized by City B instead. Existing turfs still show City A, but it's impossible to place new turfs that count as City A. This means that some cities the Capo title is forever with the existing owner unless you capture the existing turfs (which can be near impossible as well depending on small the existing Capo is influence wise). I've reported this issue via feedback, as I lost Capo in a city just before this started and am unable to reclaim it by building new turfs, forcing me to capture the existing turfs.
Many times this seems to happen where smaller cities get swallowed up under the umbrella of a nearby larger city or county.

Same here otherwise I'd have alot more capos that I have now.

It's just the opposite here. I haven't noticed a loss of cities, but instead I have discovered at least a dozen new places.
I know Nick said something about the info on the servers. I dunno if that means old turf will change or not.
I'm hoping it does. If it does, I will gain a few new capos, but my influence in the cities that have shrank to mahe these new suburbs will shrink. As it should.
Overall I think it's a good change. We just have to adapt and go on.

True Charlie that overall the new update is good, but it sucks if your hometown is no longer recognized or if you were going for a specific title and goal is no longer there. Plus it means I have to start attacking smaller players an rely on capping old turfs to get those capos, which isn't my preferred play style.

Any comment on this Nick? Or do we just gotta deal with this being the way it is and move on?
