Can't put turf

I try to lay a turf down and the green circle doesn't appear around my location, only around my other turfs. Help?!

What OS?

I noticed sometimes on the iOS4 you have to kill through the multi tasking to get it to close properly. I haven't had issues with the turf map, but I've been over limit for a while, so I hardly try.

I'm not sure on the latest timing, but maybe it could have been since the latest update... What can I do from here? I can't really lay new turf down...

It almost sounds like your map isn't refreshing. If you have iOS4, tap the home button twice. This will bring up a bar of apps that are running. Tap and hold like you want to delete, then tap after they go jiggly. This closes the app in multi tasking. It doesn't delete anything.

If you're on the older iOS, try rebooting your device.

Are you on wifi? And if so, are you connecting to a router you've used before?
