Ok... Just read all that. Still have a question. If you and someone else have the same mob, same weapons(1atk/1def), same body armor. How much more do ya need to have to take him?

30 percent more to make it easy. 10 to 20 % more and might win some/lose some.
But you only need to win once after you beat the turf down to zero inf/health.

I've realized since we finally agreed on this new thread/summary that we forgot to say that you have to at least be able to Win against your opponent (at least once) in order to capture the turf.

You must be close enough, a good rule of thumb is the center of the turf should be in the green "build radius" of your nearest turf.

Simple enough, your nearest turf must have been owned by you for more then 24 hours. Whether you built it or captured it, wait for 24 hours.
[TURF] has > 50% of this turf's influence
Your nearest turf must be at least 50% of the other turfs influence. You can't capture an 84 turf from a 41 influence turf, but 42 or above you can. If you want to avoid capture reduce your turf to 1 influence as a sure bet. -

More specifically, you have to win a fight once the turfs health has been beat down to zero. And that's the only time you have to win a fight. Then-it is yours.

This means medium-large players' turf can still be captured by players with nearby turf, even if the influence is reduced to 1." More to come as we get this figured out a little more.

Followed the check list and my 1 inf turf got capped. Please explain that...

There's been some changes to the capture system since this thread was made. 1 inf used to be impossible to capture.
Now, once you hit 16 turfs, the capture radius of your turfs increase as your turf count rises.
Theore turf you have, the easier it is for the smaller turfs to be capped.

During my attacks on Thuglife whenever he had a crapload of turfs...it seemed like the the distance for capturing his turf maxed out at about twice the distance of an 84-influence turf. I didn't do any exact measurements...this is just an approximation.

Is it possible to cap a turf of 1 inf owned by a level 1 dude?
There's a turf in the center if my town like this, and it would be easier to take than try and place someting near.

At the moment your total influence is 480. That means the dude you want to cap has to have a total influence of at Lear 48.
Look at the capture check list It tell you what you need to do to cap.

I have a question, and I'm sorry if it's not regarding the right subject, but does protection money and turf capturing go hand in hand? Can you collect protection money ONLY by capturing the turf or are they separate ideas?

Regarding closeness:
The capture radius is based on the turf you are trying to capture. The smaller the turf, the smaller it's capture radius.
In order to capture a turf, it's capture radius must reach the center of your turf you are using to capture.
The capture radius is approximately 4x the radius of the turf.
But once a player has 16 turfs, his capture radius begins to grow. Because of this, a bigger player may have trouble capturing a turf from a smaller player, but the smaller player may be able to capture the bigger players turf, as the bigger player will have a bigger capture radius than the smaller player.

If u capture the turf it's yours. You don't pay protection money to yourself. Not too be mean.

I'm trying to capture a turf and nothing...I even got the turfs influence down to 0 and nothing. Granted, I haven't won a fight cuz this guy has 1500 mobsters more than me, bet i own the entire area and this bastard is just sitting there in the middle of my turf. Yes, he is bigger, and yes...he is older...but I'm wondering if it's even possible at all to capture turf from someone you can't beat in a 1 to 1 fight. Anyone? Can someone please help? I've been trying to capture turfs for a while. All the check list items have a green tick. I have more influence and mob than the two players I'm trying to take over. I have more weapons. I lose every fight. Why?

Add up your attack poiints vs. their defense points.

Thanks chainsawcharlie, but how do I know their defence points? I've tried capping another 2 turfs that appear to be inactive. I still lose every fight. Its annoying me now!

Look at their profile. You will have to calculate it from their weapons and armor based on their mob count.

Hi just wonderin if sumone can help just attacked a nearby turf
And i lost even though i thought i should have won but it said at bottom in blue that the don helped them or something and to go easy on them, what does this mean? -
The Don will step in and protect players under level 15 fro just about anyone over that level. He will extend that protection up to level 25 if the other player is enough of a higher level (possibly level 40) and is significantly stronger and higher influence.
